Inventory Control - Marshall, MN
This is a full-time, hourly position.
Shift: 12-Hour Days

Job Summary
Under general supervision, unloads trailers efficiently along with completing required Quality Analysis, placing received materials and supplies in inventory, maintains inventory accuracy, stock plant with needed materials, assist colleagues at front parts counter.

Essential Job Functions
  • Participates actively in safety and skills training in pursuit of personal improvement.
  • Unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner, receiving and storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Checks quantities, identification and condition of materials received, and enters such information into Maximo.
  • Proficient with receiving inspection status and shortage discrepancy reports, and communicates required action.
  • Identifies inventory reduction possibilities.
  • Shows knowledge of procedures for receiving products into Maximo and has ability to deal with problems as they arise.
  • Works closely with production employees to identify and locate parts required for maintenance processes. May contact purchasing personnel/ inventory supervisor to order replacement parts, supplies, and materials.
  • Delivers parts and materials to various areas of the plant
  • Assists in assigning parts number to received goods, located storage locations, and enters information into Maximo.
  • Adjusts inventories as allowed by cycle count procedures.
  • Completes all safety and operator training for the operation of propane fill stations in order to fill plant propane tanks as needed.
  • Operates an overhead trolley and a forklift and maintains a lift truck certification.
  • Familiar will all facets of part transactions, including part transfers, rebuilds, and adjustments.
  • Receives shipments of hazardous chemicals, placing such in appropriate storage locations. Maintains responsibility for the pick-up and documentation of used chemicals.
  • Responsible for learning and understanding labels of hazardous chemical containers and processes proper disposal of universal wastes.
  • Able to complete a shipment via any freight company, process a material shipping report, and complete a purchase request.
  • Operates all material handling equipment such as scales, hand jacks, and forklift equipment.
  • Assist with snow removal and grounds keeping duties when required
  • Complete daily environmental rounds and assist in clean-up of environmental spills.
  • Operate street sweeper when directed.
  • Complete part forms in access data base
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license to complete off site part or product drop offs.
  • Complete all required safety training also follow and display knowledge of all safety procedures.
  • Have general understanding of how to use a computer and email.
  • Communicate effectively through speech and writing along with other mediums such as email.
  • Must stay motivated and show initiative to complete tasks under general supervision.
  • Display quality work through strong attention to detail.
  • Correctly operate motorized and electric equipment
  • Work with a team orientation by coordinating efforts with colleagues to complete tasks effectively.
  • Work overtime as necessary, including some weekends.
  • Meet requests of supervision including but not limited to the essential functions listed.
  • Utilize trucks, forklifts, computers, hand tools, lifting jibs, cutting equipment, and other tools or equipment correctly.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds routinely, climb stairs and ladders, and work at high elevations
