Job Description

Blair-Dumond, a leading millwork and cabinetry manufacturer in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a motivated and self-starting foreman to oversee its rapidly growing backlog of laminate and veneer cabinet work. The position requires extensive knowledge of wood product manufacture, especially the programming and operation of industry specific CNC machinery. Because this role has final responsibility for ensuring that orders are filled no matter the issue, candidates must have a proven track record of adaptability and initiative in a similar role.

We are looking for someone with the following skill set:

– Motivator who can foster a team attitude with employees from a variety of backgrounds.

– CNC guru who can troubleshoot programming and batch optimization issues as work packages arrive on the shop floor.

– Organizer who can allocate resources to get product on the dock on time in a lean environment.

Using CNC equipment and automated processes, our Richmond plant has the capacity for large volume orders as well as the flexibility to produce unique custom items. Our in-house engineering department complements our highly-skilled project management team ensuring products and installation crews are at the site to meet schedule.
