Are you interested in utilizing that experience in the exciting world of horse racing? The Department of Agriculture is seeking candidates for Livestock Worker positions to assist Veterinarians to handle horses, record data, and collect samples at Presque Isle Downs Racetrack. Livestock Workers perform important work in ensuring that the rules, regulations, and policies of the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission are followed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Livestock Worker 1 role entails the crucial task of overseeing and documenting the administration of Lasix to horses under the supervision of the dedicated veterinarian. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the Detention Barn, ensuring its cleanliness and functionality. Moreover, the Livestock Worker 1 is expected to lend a helping hand in various farm activities as needed, showcasing their versatility and commitment to the overall operations of the farm.
