Description

Welcome to Organzo! We are a Global Distributor of Sustainably Grown Asian Fruits & Vegetables. We are hiring a Business Development Specialist in the Southern United States as we expand our operations into the U.S. In this role you will identify and qualify new business opportunities with U.S. Fruit and Vegetable growers and successfully negotiate and establish agreements in Organzo’s distinctive business mode.

For over 18 years, we have created value for every partner along the supply chain in our niche market, and ultimately deliver a high-quality product to the door of our clients’ warehouses.

Main responsibilities and functions:

  • Promote Organzo’s business model and growing opportunities.
  • Enhance our market presence in US Southern States
  • Identify high potential growers who could be a good fit with our business model and crops.
  • Analyze market data, customer feedback, and industry reports to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Qualify leads.
  • Plan & conduct meetings and visits to targeted growers.
  • Provide timely and trustworthy feedback & progression reports to Organzo’s executives
  • Actively contribute to the negotiation of contracts, agreements, and terms of partnerships to maximize mutual benefits and achieve strategic and revenue objectives.
  • Be involved in growers’ retention to contribute to our long-term business growth
  • Represent Organzo at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to promote brand awareness, build industry relationships, and explore new business opportunities.

Competencies:

  • Strong selling and business development skills in a Business-to-Business (B2B) context.
  • Strategic approach: based on research and analysis & relationship building.
  • Experience in setting winning conditions and profitable business development processes.
  • Ability to leverage the multidisciplinary assets of the Organzo team (for example: to suggest the appropriate crop)
  • Track record in valuing and forging solid & long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills.

  • Pro-active in staying abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to adapt business strategies accordingly.
