This position is vital to NREM's strategic vision of building leadership in 'Aina momona (abundant and flourishing social-ecological systems), and revitalizing and reconnecting ecosystems and communities locally and globally. In addition, this position is designed to provide critical, state-wide policy analysis support related to sustainable agriculture production that increases economic prosperity and local food production for the state, including, for example, analysis of the market for climate smart products, circular economy potential, conservation finance opportunities, and other related topics, to meet the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) strategic priorities in vibrant tropical and Pacific Island agriculture and food security, ecosystem health, and resilient and thriving community health. We seek candidates with excellent agricultural economics skills who have experience applying these skills in coupled agricultural-rural human-natural systems such as Hawai'i, and who have strong potential to develop an effective, integrated extension and research program in policy analysis to support sustainable, equitable, and resilient agricultural production and rural communities. Duties and Responsibilities:
