Job Description

Overview:

Our vision is to be THE Employer of Choice in the progressive food industry. As a Production/Planning Supervisor for Wonderful Citrus you'll provide analytical support to the supply chain team in Texas. You'll work closely with Texas operations, sales team and our Mexico division. You will be responsible for various supply chain management tasks such as measuring the efficiency and cost effectiveness to improve productivity, quality and analyzing detail pertaining to company issues (damage, cost analysis). Additional tasks include benchmarking procedures, assisting Supply Chain group in Grower recruitment activities and building the Grower database within the Oracle system.

Here's what you'll do:
  • Determine pack house capacities to meet production demands.
  • Enforces company safety rules and policies.
  • Maintain good grower relations.
  • Ensure that fruit estimations and projections are correct and useful.
  • Manage frequent schedule changes or unexpected events.
  • Communicate frequently with management regarding fruit packaging capacity and product availability.
  • Evaluate and take corrective action when necessary about product date coding and trade age management at all levels of product movement.
  • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other management staff to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Measure and communicate appropriate KPl's pertaining to Inventory and service levels.
  • Complete special projects and/or assignments as needed.
Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or minimum of five (5) years' experience and/or training in supply chain management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and genuine desire to help and assist employees at all levels
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
