Job Description Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience Experience an asset Responsibilities Tasks Hand harvesting vegetables Harvesting seedlings Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry Examine produce for quality and prepare for market Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures Maintain financial and production records Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain quality control and production records Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations Employment groups Help - Employment groups This employer promotes equal employment opportunities for all job applicants, including those self-identifying as a member of these groups: Indigenous people, Persons with disabilities, Newcomers to Canada, Older workers, Veterans, Visible minorities, Youth Who can apply to this job?
