The Landmark team is seeking a seasonal Harvest Cellar Intern to join the production team! The primary responsibilities of a Harvest Cellar Intern is to support the cellar team by receiving fruit, operating the crush pad, punch down, sanitation, barrel prep, barrel filling and pressing. This seasonal harvest position will start in August 2024 and run until end of October 2024.

This is an on-site, temporary position based in Kenwood, CA.

Job Description
  • Completes work assignments and work orders in a safe and timely manner
  • Responsible for sanitation of cellar area, equipment, and tanks
  • Assists in all cellar operations including racking, transfers, and barrel downs
  • Be a part of the harvesting process including intake, inoculations, chemical additions, and pressings
  • Monitors temperature of wine tanks
  • Cleans, maintains, and organizes barrels as needed
  • Assists with still wine barrel work
  • Replenishes cellar inventory of supplies
  • Samples tanks as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous cellar experience is a plus, but not required
  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Previous cellar experience is a plus, but not required
  • Verbal and written English skills preferred, but not required
  • Applicants must be able to perform basic math calculations. Good organization with numbers is also critical for accurate record keeping.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, as well as dealing with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Flexible and willing to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends
  • Full-time availability (40-50 hours a week) from early August through early November or until harvest is completed
Work Environment:

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
