Maintenance Engineering Planner for Florida Crystals

A little about the business: Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America’s first fully integrated cane sugar company. They are America’s first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. They are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Planner to join their team.

What you would be doing: As the Maintenance Engineering Planner, you would report to the Director of Industrial Shops and be responsible for the oversight of work flow, reporting, and budgeting of all agriculture related equipment and maintenance shop functions. Some of your responsibilities would include assisting in the equipment shop budget, providing logistical support for agricultural operations, and managing parts inventory levels.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, industrial, or mechanical preferred,  3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, experience with equipment reliability improvement, precision ag an GIS, continuous improvement, budgeting, and inventory, experience with SAP and BI preferred, and experience with logistics and management of parts in a shop environment.

Sales Representative for Interwest Supply

A little about the business: Interwest Supply, located in Caldwell, Idaho, is a Valley Irrigation dealership specializing in irrigation pumps, wheel lines, pivots, and other agricultural irrigation equipment. They are looking for a Sales Representative to join their team.

What you would be doing: As the Sales Representative, you would be working directly with farms and agribusinesses on understanding their current and future needs. Some of your responsibilities would include conducting all sales activities and business development from lead generation through close within the territory, traveling on-site to farming operations to proactively discuss ROI of irrigation equipment, and partnering with new customers to ensure most efficient and most cost effective solutions.

Qualifications: 2+ years of prior sales experience preferably in agriculture, but not required, basic mechanical knowledge, and good time management skills.

Grain Operations Worker for The Andersons, Inc.

A little about the business: The Andersons owns grain terminals in eight states with grain storage capacity of more than 151 million bushels at 32 grain storage facilities. Their grain facilities accept corn, soybean, and wheat commodities. They are looking for an entry level, full time Grain Operations Worker to join their team in Michigan.

What you would be doing: As the Grain Operations Worker, some of your responsibilities would include assisting loading trains as needed and performing all operations tasks, carrying out preventative maintenance and repairs to assigned equipment, performing all tasks associated with inbound grain receipts, performing clean-up work, and operating various types of equipment and tools.

                Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent and basic electrical and mechanical skills.

Production Supervisor for Sandy Pine Systems  

A little about the business: Sandy Pine Systems is a growing progressive agricultural company. Sandy Pines Systems is the site of the largest PIC Multiplier – a producer of breeding stock derived from PIC genetics – in the United States. They are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team in Leigh, Nebraska.

What you would be doing: As the Production Supervisor, you would be a part of the management team. You would assist in the oversight of the production operations on the farm.

Qualifications: Must be willing to travel to other sites, be fluent in both English and Spanish, be organized, be able to motivate and support people, be able to work some weekends, and have hog confinement experience.

Agricultural Engineer for Cascade Earth Sciences

A little about the business: Cascade Earth Sciences (CES) is a subsidiary of Valley Irrigation. CES has provided water, environmental, and agricultural consulting, design, and turnkey solutions to their customers since 1976. They are looking for an Agricultural Engineer to work out of the Valmont Northwest office in Pasco, Washington.

What you would be doing: As the Agriculture Engineer, you would be responsible for all aspects of engineering and project management related to the ag services business operations. Some of your responsibilities would include designing water supply systems for irrigation systems, conducting field inspections for soil moisture content, servicing existing accounts to achieve excellent customer service, and assisting with the expansion of ag services by developing new business and establishing customers.  

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering – agriculture, industrial, or mechanical preferred, 3-5 years of relatable experience, background in farming, operating pivot irrigation, water pumps, or other ag irrigation, pivot irrigation, pipe, and pump system design experience preferred, and licensed professional engineer preferred.
