A little about the business: Trinity Turf Nursery is an 800 acre turfgrass farm located in North Central Texas. Their goal is to provide quality turfgrass sod and service. All of the sod off of their farm comes freshly cut, healthy, and treated for weeds and diseases. They are looking for a Production Manager/Foreman to join their team.
What you would be doing: As the Production Manager/Foreman, you would be responsible for managing 10 – 15 employees and overseeing day to day field operations, including harvesting, mowing, irrigation, fertilizer application, and pesticide applications.
Qualifications: Basic knowledge and experience operating and maintaining general farm equipment.
A little about the business: Farmers Grain & Ag, LLC is a family owned grain elevator and fertilizer provider located in Willshire, Ohio. They provide top quality products and prompt service to produce their maximum yield. In addition to their grain elevator and fertilizer sales, they farm acres of grain and have a logging operation and saw mill. They are looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.
What you would be doing: As the Operations Manager, you would oversee the grain and fertilizer operation. You would manage the efficiency of the operations, maintenance, inventory levels, grain quality, and employee management. Some of your duties would include managing day-to-day operations, providing employees daily direction, overseeing facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring grain quality, interacting with customers, and ensuring the team follows all safety protocols.
Qualifications: Prior agriculture experience in grain handling, strong mechanical understanding of experience, proven history of managing efficient operations, and problem solving skills.
A little about the business: Randy Beer Farms is a 600 sow farrow-finish operation in Milford, Indiana and a 600 sow farm in Illinois where the pigs are shipped to them at weaning. They currently farm 1700 acres and have a Pioneer seed dealership. They are looking for a Feed Truck Driver for their Milford, Indiana operations.
What you would be doing: As the Feed Truck Driver, you would be responsible for using their computer feed system to load the appropriate feed into the truck and deliver feed to their finishing sites. The most travel time required is 20 miles from site to site.
Qualifications: Prior driving experience (trucks, semis, agriculture, construction, or military) and a clean DMV, mechanically inclined and comfortable performing light maintenance, and must be able to work both independently and with a team.
A little about the business: Continental Farms is a full service company that provides transportation, application, and incorporation of biosolids and water treatment lime in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. They are looking for a Farm Equipment Operator to join their team in Peotone, Illinois.
What you would be doing: As the Farm Equipment Operator, you would be operating agriculture and heavy equipment, wastewater dewatering equipment, trucks, and performing light equipment maintenance. You would also be responsible for ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications: Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as agriculture, construction, and/or military, mechanically inclined, comfortable performing light maintenance, prior driving experience, and a clean DMV.
A little about the business: United Suppliers is a wholesale organization based in Iowa. They are owned by agricultural retailers who do business throughout the central part of the United States and parts of Canada. They provide their owners a competitive and reliable supply of crop protection and crop nutrients. They are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their team.
What you would be doing: As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you would provide support to the Warehouse Manager and CP Business Unit in all warehouse supply chain functions and operating procedures. Some of your responsibilities would include maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, coworkers, and the public, accepting all responsibility of the warehouse personnel, product, and equipment in the absence of the Warehouse Manager, assisting with layout changes, product storage, and pick flow analysis, and aiding the training of all full time and seasonal employees.
Qualifications: Associate degree from a two-year college or two to three years related experience and/or training, the ability to read and interpret documents, mathematical skills, computer skills, an understanding of DOT placarding and DOT Hazardous rules, and the ability to operate a forklift.
