A little about the business: Alico’s Orango Co is the largest citrus producer in the United States. They are looking for a Director of Citrus to join their team in Fort Meyers, Florida. Their Orange Co. division cultivates citrus trees to produce citrus for delivery to the processed and fresh citrus markets.
What you would be doing: As the Director of Citrus, you would oversee 7,900 acres of citrus in Collier and Hendry counties. You will be required to assist in developing and implementing a plan to maximize production while controlling cost.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related field and 5-10 years’ experience.
A little about the business: Plevna Implement Company is a family-owned, full-line AGCO-Massey Ferguson farm equipment dealership that provides superior farm machinery sales and service support to its customers. It is headquartered just outside of Kokomo, Indiana. They are looking for a Farm Equipment Service Technician to join their team.
What you would be doing: As the Farm Equipment Service Technician, you would complete in-field and in-shop repairs on farm machinery. Some of your responsibilities would include performing in-field and in-shop diagnostics, working directly with farming customers, and pursuing and performing preventative maintenance services.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience in servicing agricultural equipment, farming equipment, heavy equipment, etc., ability to work flexible hours, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
A little about the business: Frontiersmen is independently owned and operated by the Funk family who have been leaders in hybrid seed corn for four generations. They are seeking a District Sales Manager for Frontiersmen brand corn and soybeans. They are located in Iowa.
What you would be doing: As the District Sales Manager, you would work closely with your customers to deliver elite yielding hybrids and excellent personal customer service. Some of your responsibilities would include aggressively seeking new and profitable sale opportunities and providing the maximum level of customer service to all customers.
Qualifications: Basic farming knowledge and a passion for agriculture, 3-5 years’ experience in agricultural sales, and must be self-motivated.
A little about the business: Big Cob Hybrids’ mission is to increase customer profitability by providing industry leading seed products. Big Cob allows you to get maximum stand from every kernel of corn by performing warm germination, cold germination, super cold germination, trait purity and genetic purity tests. They are looking for a Warehousing and Logistics Lead to join their team in Seward, Nebraska.
What you would be doing: As the Warehousing and Logistics Lead, you would lead the team in completing all necessary warehouse tasks, implement all warehouse protocols and procedures, delegate tasks/responsibilities as needed, and assist the Warehouse Manager in training the warehouse team.
Qualifications: Strong communication skills and the ability to form solid working relationships.
A little about the business: The Andersons, Inc. owns grain terminals in eight states including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, Tennessee and Texas with grain storage capacity of more than 151 million bushels at 32 grain storage facilities. Their grain facilities accept corn, soybean and wheat commodities. They provide their customers with high quality DDGs and feed and work with each of their customers on feed needs, quality requirements, freight needs and more. They are looking for a Grain Operations Worker to join their team in Albion, Michigan.
What you would be doing: As the Grain Operations Worker, you would operate scales, operate grain handling and receiving equipment, load trucks and railcars, operate industrial mobile equipment, and perform all related DDGS loud-out functions.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required, basic electrical and mechanical skills, customer service skills, and an aptitude for numbers.
