The ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness Responsible for reading work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials, containers, crates or milk type containers to be moved, and proper location to be stacked, loads/unloads material to/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.


  • Ability to read chemical labels, and understand, and follow safe handling procedures for chemicals
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules, particularly for moving parts
  • Ability to write, communicate and perform basic math skills
  • Must be courteous toward other employees
  • Must be prompt and dependable
  • Able to lift 50 lbs overhead
  • Requires often lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, kneeling & constant standing


  • Must pull stacks of milk product and stacks cased product up to seven feet high in a refrigerated warehouse
  • Counts and records number of units of material moved or handled on daily production sheet
  • Moves stacked crates to rotate product (new behind old), attaches identifying tags, labels or tape to crates or marks information on crates or other product containers
  • Drags milk product crates weighing up to 300 lbs , using 3 foot metal handheld hook, across concrete floors
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand
  • Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
  • Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials/products
