Bunge is seeking candidates with an interest in sustainable and regenerative agriculture and sustainable food supply chains for an intern position in the global sustainability team. Candidate will get exposure to the various teams and functions within the food supply chain, from farm to food customers. The position is an opportunity to learn about the increasing consumer interest in sustainable food supply chains and the key stakeholders in the supply chain, including farmers, NGOs, consumer-facing brands and internal Bunge staff. This summer position will manage the Bunge Centerfield program. Centerfield is Bunge’s sustainable agriculture platform used to engage growers and food companies is sustainability. This position will identify opportunities within the existing program with farmers and customers, facilitate updates and enhancements, assist with data collection and analysis and prepare farmer and customer reports.
The global sustainability team at Bunge is integrated into all of the business units, providing visibility and networking opportunities with all functions. • Serve as the main internal point of contact for Bunge Centerfield
• Research sustainable agriculture and food trends and identify opportunities to grow and enhance Centerfield
• Serve as a program manager to facilitate updates and enhancements of Bunge Centerfield; serve as the liaison between the VP Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and the external vendors
• Support merchandisers in the U.S. and Canada with data collection, input and analysis
• Build farmer and customer presentations and reports; communicate with both farmers and customers
• Support the global sustainability team in other areas as needed
Skills and Experience Requirements:
All majors are encouraged to apply; previous work or course work in sustainability, sustainable agriculture, food science, supply chain, and natural resources related sciences is a plus
Must be entering the senior year of an undergraduate degree program or in a graduate program
Strong work ethic, well-organized, entrepreneurial, curious, creative, and business oriented
Strong interest and understanding of global sustainability trends, specifically agriculture, food, and consumer packaged goods
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple ongoing needs
Strong written and oral communication skills; be able to clearly communicate sustainability trends and importance of the growing trend to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work cross-functionally within a business environment
