The Andersons originated and is still headquartered in Maumee, Ohio. More than 65 years later, we operate over 40 grain elevators in 8 states, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Texas with a total storage capacity of more than 150 million bushels. Our grain facilities accept corn, soybean, wheat, oats, and more commodities.

We are currently hiring a Supervisor in Training – Grain Elevator Operations for our location in Maumee, OH. This position is a management training role responsible for learning all aspects of Trade Group Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a working knowledge of Trade Group operations including but not limited to general operations, safety, procurement, inventory, sales, logistics, accounting, project management, financial reporting and organizational management
  • Gain necessary knowledge and experience to transition into an Operations supervisor position within 12-24 months
  • Drive and develop a culture of leadership and safety

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Performs routine, entry-level assignments
  • Knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts gained through education and/or experience
  • Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
  • Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (or the equivalent in work experience)
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required in farming or grain handling
  • Ability to relocate
