Site Coordinator (1901708) – Elyria, OH
Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to manage programs and activities at the Elyria site that will enhance the employee experience with BASF. You will take a leadership role in many aspects of the site culture development in Elyria and will lead tactical efforts and execute plans associated with the responsibilities below to support Elyria site goals.

Formula for Success

Leveraging your bachelor’s degree combined with your relevant experience, you will manage the Elyria site’s onboarding program of new hires, to include ensuring appropriate agenda and collaboration with presenters for introduction to the Elyria site, as well as I-9 verification using the e-Verify system to ensure compliance with U.S. employment law. As a proactive self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, you will oversee various programs including summer internship programs (PDP and local summer hire). Your experience with an applicant tracking system such as Taleo will be a great benefit as you work with hiring managers to create requisitions in Taleo for routing approval. Working independently with minimal direction, you will act as the point of contact for the distribution of corporate materials, such as Open Enrollment Posters and compliance posters. You will also be the contact for updating, revising and publishing of any local site HR related procedures or policies in coordination with the myHR Management Resource Team (MRT). Your flexibility to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment will be vital as you manage various employee engagement and community -related events for the site. You will also coordinate and participate in employee/site, community and charitable events. Your experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) will be essential as you provide communications support by maintaining BASF TV and other site wide communications as needed. You will also use these skills to coordinate and communicate personnel announcements of new hires and internal employee moves to the site. Your proficiency in SAP and Success Factors will be a valued asset as you support the site’s recognition process by providing recognition program reports as needed. Demonstrating your experience with site medical programs combined with your ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, you will serve as the site Medical Coordinator and manage all employee annual physicals and medical clearances. Additionally, you will serve in the delegated capacity as the site point of contact for all non-negative drug tests for Elyria employees. Successfully engaging inside and outside the organization, you will work with site leaders and the Leave Team on employee short-term disability requirements and manage service vendors for uniforms, vending, and other site services as assigned. Relying on your experience in workers compensation administration while working in a manufacturing environment, you will manage the site’s workers compensation program and work with the insurance carrier and site EHS to ensure compliance.
