We’re hiring for a newly created Director of Sales role. You will be responsible for directing the sales performance across the organization to ensure profitability. You will be responsible to develop, implement and maintain a strategic sales plan while being responsible for execution of the sales process. You will be leading three (3) direct reports in regional manager roles; 24 indirect territory managers. You will be tracking overall performance and monitoring key KPIs to ensure the organization is on track to hitting annual targets. You will also be working cross-functionally with our sales operations department who determines pricing and the process for the purchase and sales of used equipment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff to develop and sustain a high level of employee performance and morale that is highly aligned with our mission and core values
  • Manage overall Wholegoods Sales forecasting and establish tactics to achieve performance targets
  • Responsible for financials and management of departmental expenses to remain within budgetary guidelines
  • Ensure acceptable market share levels are met
  • Coordinate and implement effective sales processes
  • Direct and oversee sales activities
  • Develop, coach and evaluate the performance of Regional Sales Managers.
  • Create and ensure strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that customer issues are resolved promptly according to company guidelines
  • Partner with other departments to order new equipment to fulfill stock inventory levels and sales orders
  • Align and implement company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Bulletins and Campaigns
  • Work closely with all other departments to achieve company objectives
  • Timely completion of performance evaluations, salary reviews, interviewing and hiring
  • Monitor training and identify personnel development needs within sales department
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in experience, High School Diploma/GED required
  • 5 years of sales experience in an agricultural, construction, or turf related role
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent sales leadership experience
  • Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to use standard desktop or laptop computer and related programs, Microsoft Office platform, plus ability to effectively research and navigate the internet.
