We have an exciting temporary-to-hire opportunity to work as a Research Associate (Cell Culture Dept.) at a rising genome engineering company located in Redwood City, CA. Job Title: Research Associate (Cell Culture) Term: 6-months (temp-to-hire) Must have at least 1-year experience in the following: Maintain primary mammalian cell cultures and immortalized cell lines Experience working with a variety of immortalized lines, specialized experience with mammalian iPS, ES and primary cell lines Experience with transfections and genetic engineering of mammalian cells Experience with flow cytometry Job Responsibilities: Maintain inventory, equipment, record-keeping and administrative tasks for cell line maintenance and related projects Seed and transfect cells for a variety of cell culture plates Screen mammalian cell lines Update and development of SOPs for manufacturing processes Acquire and analyze microscopy images Participate in company meetings and present data and project plans Communicate regularly with team members regarding project progress Education/Experience: BS in Biology, Cell Biology or related field with a minimum of 1 year of cell culture experience Excellent sterile technique Experience with fluorescence microscopy and immunostaining techniques Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to deliver cohesive presentations Ability to work well within a team and thrive under fast-paced environment Apply Now Why Kelly ?
