Bayer”s Cardiorenal division is undergoing an impressive growth trajectory and significant R&D investment.  Bayer is committed to improving cardiorenal health both in the US and globally with currently available products and products in development, including investigational treatments for chronic kidney disease (CKD), heart failure with reduced and preserved ejection fraction, and renal anemia.  Given the profound burden of CKD in Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), Bayer is making significant investments in developing a treatment option for the disease.  Currently Bayer is conducting Phase III clinical trials in approximately 40 countries with 180 investigational sites in the US alone.
The primary responsibilities of this Residence Based role, Regional Sales Manager – Cincinnati, OH, are to: 

  • Implement strategic and tactical sales plans for their region to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and total annual sales objectives;
  • Recruit, train, retain, motivate, develop and lead diverse, high performing Representatives to their full potential;
  • Promote the fair, objective and consistent resolution of employee relations and compliance issues by coaching representatives and partnering with Human Resources and Compliance;
  • Monitor the region”s compliance of Field Sales promotional activity, ensuring appropriate reporting procedures are taking place;
  • Conduct field travel with each Regional Sales Representative on a consistent basis, calling on key accounts, institutions and customers as assigned by the Company;
  • Complete Field Coaching Reports within 48 hours after each field ride;
  • Identify and acknowledge individual strengths and needs within the region;
  • Maintain awareness of the development of employees within the region by working closely with employees and their Individual development plans;
  • Establish, model, and maintain competent product knowledge and selling skills standards within the team;
  • Be able to coach a variety of sales Representative styles types and leverage the organizational competency model;
  • Plan and conduct effective sales meetings and launch any Company issued programs and promotions;
  • Direct and monitor the execution of approved marketing plans and promotional campaigns;
  • Maintain timely communications with Sales Representatives, management and internal and external stakeholders;
  • Maintain complete records and submit accurate reports as directed by management;
  • Develop and execute Business Plans to achieve Regional, Area, and National goals;
  • Analyze sales reports and develop plans of action;
  • Effectively manages the region’s budget.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor”s degree from an accredited college or university;
  • At least 5 years” successful pharmaceutical sales experience;
  • 2 years’ Sales Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Nephrology sales experience;
  • Market Access experience;
  • Experience in virtual selling and support.
