Where the Chemistry Happens Product Research & Development Manager and Global Head of CoE – Printing and Packaging (EDG) (1805392) The Product Research & Development Manager and Global Head of CoE – Printing and Packaging (EDG) plays a key role in facilitating global cooperation and communication across different sites and functions. The group is comprised of R&D activities for printing & packaging, industrial coatings and adhesives by joint activities with the global research groups, the regional development groups (Asia, Europe) and the business groups. You will need to operate with strong links to various business groups within the dispersions and pigments division and to research units and have a good understanding of the R&D-related decision-making processes within BASF. This Manager also elaborates potential new technologies relevant for these markets and establishes itself as the “hub of expertise” for these applications. Furthermore, the person co-generates ideas and project proposals and other innovation approaches.

Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success: Leveraging your academic background in Polymer Chemistry or Material Science and your deep knowledge of the printing and packaging industry, you will lead the local team disciplinarily and direct the global team’s efforts to develop new technologies and products
You will represent and connect the group to the global BASF R&D community and align the global R&D budget and project portfolio
