This position is responsible for grain inventories and warehousing. Promote company and branch location employee cohesiveness through effective communication, teamwork and shared services. This position is also responsible for being knowledgeable in all aspects of the company to provide sales and service support at the location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Load, unload and operate scale for grain
Ensure good grain condition by conducting monthly facility inspections, monitoring bin temperatures, keeping the elevator clean and performing preventative maintenance
Complete all required paperwork including PM reports, OSHA and safety inspection forms
Provide assistance with stocking merchandise, advertising and inventory control
Assist customer with sales, checkout and promoting products; responsible for being knowledgeable on products and services
Work cooperatively with other locations to help ensure company goals are met
Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments
Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
Understand and comply with all state and federal regulations
Present a clean and professional appearance
Must know, understand and comply with all safety and governmental regulations
Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements
Assist other locations to accomplish company goals

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires basic computer operation skills. Individual must be willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars, classes or other job related education requirements or opportunities.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak clearly and effectively before groups of customers, clients or employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages area, circumference, volume, weight measurement and distance. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, and take appropriate precautions and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulations and labeling.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste, smell, stand, walk, sit, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds. The employee may occasionally need to climb ladders (may range from 20′ to 180′) and stairs. This may include structural ladders as well as climbing into large vehicles, and/or tractors and also climbing high, precarious places. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employees must understand and implement all related safety policies, procedures and programs for prevention and protection while performing job duties in various work environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; dusty conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
