Our dates are grown in Yuma, AZ nestled where California and Arizona meet which has the perfect temperatures and growing conditions.
 
We’re Hiring
We are hiring a National Sales Manager for Canada. You will manage and develop sales across all of Canada. You will be building upon pre-existing relationships in an established territory while expanding our market in Canada.  You will interface with retailers, distributors and brokers to provide innovative local market solutions, and oversee the execution of the corporate sales strategy to retain and grow our presence in Canada.
 
This job is for you if 

  • You have proven sales experience; ideally in the food industry
  • You live near Toronto and are comfortable with both travel throughout Canada and international travel to USA
  • You are a highly driven individual, who is comfortable working within multiple channels to build sales

 
What you will be doing

  • Drive volume sales, revenue and customer growth across Canada.
    • Develop and manage annual account plans.
    • Quarterly business reviews with CEO and Headquarter team.
    • Annual business reviews with Director of Sales – East.
    • Manage all account specific trade funds, marketing accruals, and the like.
    • Define account specific broker expectations and manage annual review process.
    • Relationship development and retention of accounts.
  • Solicit and close new business with key Canadian retailers in designated country markets to achieve annual goals.
    • Manage all aspects of the new customer sales process (identify, pursue, price, and close).
  • Achieve forecasting goals for accounts managed.
    • Manage month-to-month forecasting process.
  • Responsible for providing market intelligence including competitive landscape and market conditions that may influence our sales and marketing strategy.
  • Manage the relationship of the Sales Organization in our Headquarter office in the USA and the interaction with key accounts in Canada.
  • Attend trade shows and other relevant customer presentations with top accounts managed.
  • Manage all account specific trade funds, marketing accruals, and the like.
  • Facilitate representative’s visits to the USA with potential new customers and current accounts managed.
  • Coordinate Trade Shows and Conventions for the region. Including but not limited to samples, booth design, international compliance, giveaways, staff etc.
  • Attend training, trade shows and other mandatory company events in the U.S.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales – East, USA.

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, marketing and /or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of (10) years of experience in Sales and Supply Chain Management.
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Bilingual English / French is a big plus.
  • Ability to work with remote teams in an effective manner.
  • Strong understanding of cultural norms and differences on approach to regions.
  • Extensive domestic and international travel.
  • Current Passport and ability to obtain and retain visas for countries in the region.
  • Excellent writing, communications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize activities to maximize sales volume and margins.
