Your tasks and responsibilities Duties and projects will include:

  • Preparing design, installation and start-up of automatic process control, material handling, and distributive control systems
  • Gaining experience assisting with documentation of the process and equipment to meet compliance with ISO 9002 certification
  • Bayer’s interlock guidelines, and Process Safety Management regulations
  • Assist with existing/new projects in design, equipment selection, installation, checkout, troubleshooting, and start-up phases
  • Project development, electrical control drawing approval, programming controller specifications, software development and training

Required Skills:

  • Students must be currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters Engineering degree program and have completed the sophomore year by the start of their co-op.
  • Work at the Muscatine, Iowa site for the duration of the term (June-December of 2020)
  • Return to school upon completion of their term with Bayer to continue their program of study

Desired Skills/Experience:
• Prior Co-op or internship experience is a plus
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
