We are looking for a Drone Scouting Intern that is eager to go above and beyond helping our customers. We are seeking interns that reside or look to relocate to DeWitt, Livingston, Macon, McLean or Woodford Counties in Illinois! We do not offer relocation or housing assistance.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fixed wing drones/quadcopter drones to collect field data, ground truth drone findings, and other field research responsibilites.
Utilize drones and other technologies to document field findings, complete inspection reports, and provides reports to Crop Specialists, Agronomy Technology Specialist, and Agronomy Technology Manager.
Document and report drone success and difficulties.
Ensure drone data is accurate and timely.
Attends scheduled technical training sessions and meetings.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and currently pursuing a degree or certification from a 2-or 4-year college or university in good academic standing.
Must be willing to have a start date around mid April.
Must have FAA Part 107 sUAS license by February 2021.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to travel independently as needed.
Occasionally exposed or required to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
Must be able to walk crop fields and conduct visual inspections of crops.
Frequently required to lift 50 pounds or more. Frequently exposed to dust, heat, and high noise level.
Ability to work hours beyond those considered normal.
