The Role:
As the Director of Integrative Omics at Elucidata, you will lead the team responsible for discovering biological insights from multi-omics datasets. You will have the opportunity to set scientific standards for data-driven omics research in target discovery. You will provide scientific and technical leadership to team members while also empowering and inspiring them to do their best work. In your role at Elucidata, you will also guide the strategy and champion the execution of our IP portfolio, publications, external partnerships, and product development plans.

Responsibilities:
Build and grow a team of bioinformatics scientists and data scientists who are empowered to build Elucidata’s platform.
Manage day to day delivery to our partners, ensure scientific rigor, further our relationships, develop new offerings.
Partner with the business team and expand our industrial and academic engagements.
Partner with other leaders in the organization and develop a scientific innovation roadmap and execute it.
Manage the development of data-driven workflows and integrate omics capabilities that can translate to real-world impact.
Publish in peer-reviewed journals, present novel scientific results at conferences and author communication like blogs, etc.
Develop a strategy for IP portfolio and platform development plans.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or equivalent industry experience) in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, or related fields (e.g., cancer biology with technical expertise in computational biology).
5-8 years of experience leading teams of computational biologists and/or bioinformaticians in industry.
Experience in leading research where statistical methods and algorithms are applied to large-scale omics datasets.
Ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment working closely with engineers, data scientists, business and more.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) that bridge scientific and business needs.
Strategic thinker who can contribute to the business, productize offerings and manage relationships.
