GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

This position will be responsible for the creation of reporting tools and follow the execution of the sustainability goals set at Corporate level. This role will support and work with the VP Marketing & Sustainability to drive the Dole sustainability initiatives forward.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

  • In coordination with the Vice President of Marketing and Sustainability, the IT department and operational divisions, create and implement tools to track the implementation of Dole’s sustainability goals.
    • Participate in defining metrics and baselines where needed
    • Participate in working group on reporting tools
    • Provide data collection and quality assurance support for relevant public-facing annual investor framework submissions (e.g. CDP, DJSI, CHRB) and other public reporting commitments (GRI)
    • Compile data and create sustainability dashboard
  • Supervise the production of the company yearly sustainability report
  • Promote the Dole sustainability effort internally throughout the company in collaboration with the communication team
  • Over time become an internal expert on various sustainability issues or customer programs.
  • Any other sustainability related project as needed

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skill And Experience Requirements)

  • 2+ years of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability related experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key sustainability issues.
  • Demonstrated track record for data management and Corporate Sustainability reporting.
  • Produce experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to build and lead cross- functional project teams
  • Demonstrated Group Presentation skills and experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • High level of motivation and the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to solve problems with a high sense of ownership
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS

External vendors, customer cross functional team, other sustainability stakeholders.

Internal: all other marketing teams, sales and other teams as needed.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

B.S. degree in Sustainable Agriculture or related field. MBA preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and utilize a variety of office equipment. Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. and reach overhead.

WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends
  • Ability to travel approximately 35% is required.
