CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Grain Marketing division. We are looking for a Commodity Trader in the Dried Distillers Grain group to work extensively with DDG buyers on behalf of our marketed ethanol plants. You must be able to make decisions, work independently, be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will:

  • Work with producers, making DDG sales and updating them on market trends.
  • Work with ethanol plants to form marketing plans and maintain proper inventories.
  • Work with ethanol plants on rail and truck logistics.
  • Report and prepare all purchasing contracts quickly and accurately.
  • Work with ethanol plant and office staff in the exchange of information for logistics and accounting.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree Ag Business, Ag Economics, or related
  • 1 plus years of Grain Trading experience

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Ag Economics or related area
  • CMIS knowledge
