We are currently recruiting for our 2020 Summer internship Class.

Agtegra Cooperative is hiring for our professional internship program for students to learn about our industry and gain valuable real-world experience. There are multiple events required for these internships including: intern kick-off, community day, a region meeting, leadership team lunch, and intern wrap-up. Interns are also required to complete weekly reports, various trainings, and an internship project and presentation. This is a paid internship, with the opportunity to earn a scholarship up to $750.

Here are the opportunities that we have available this summer and a short description of each.

Sales Agronomist- Performs field applications and inventory control of feed, fertilizer, and crop protection products. Make deliveries of feed, seed, chemical, and fertilizer. Scouts fields and makes recommendations with assistance from Sales Agronomist. Make new sales contacts based off a list compiled by Sales Manager, Location Manager, and Sales Agronomist.

Feed- This internship focuses on both retail feed sales and feed mill operations. There will be opportunities to ride with Dakotaland sales reps to learn the sales process and learn the importance of customer service and how to properly communicate with customers. Interns will be given a project to sell a specific product or cover a specific area. There will be the opportunity to learn how to operate a small feed mill to make grain mixes and obtain your seasonal CDL.

Grain Marketing- This intern, located in our Admin building, will work on various aspects of the grain industry over the summer. Some aspects include grain handling, risk management practices, grain logistics, market research, grain origination, and grain product analysis.

Ag Technology Spatial Analytics Intern – This intern position will focus on developing reporting metrics to communicate trends/benchmarks in information such as soil test data by sample type, advanced tissue sample analysis using the Winfield United NutriSolutions tool and comparing this information at a management zone level on fields enrolled in MZB. The Intern summer project would consist of building out an advanced product offering for Agtegra Cooperative focused around On farm Profitability and ROI using a pre identified GIS/Spatial data tool for advanced record keeping (TBD). This is a great opportunity to leverage on-farm Precision Ag related information and be part of a growing sector of the agriculture community.
