Farm Depot is a full line agricultural dealer with 3 locations across the southern-lower peninsula of Michigan in Caro, Ionia, and Schoolcraft.  Whether our customers need a small garden tractor or a large self-propelled harvester or anything in-between, we have it. The main line we carry is AGCO. AGCO includes high horsepower tractors such as Fendt, Challenger, Massey and Sunflower tillage implements. We carry over 100 different product lines including Krone, Pottinger, Gehl, and Kubota just to name a few.

We’re looking for an Agriculture Service Technician – Heavy Equipment Mechanic  to join our fast paced, energetic, and fun but productive culture at our dealership in Ionia, MI or Schoolcraft, MI.  In this role you will perform scheduled service, repair, modifications, and provide field support for farm equipment while maintaining customer relations and supporting the work of the other departments in the dealership.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer farm machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Work directly with farming customers to communicate repairs made, share available products and services to meet their needs.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
  • Complete service reports, order parts, and maintain clear customer records.
  • Assist customers and always provide top notch customer service.

This job might be for you if you have:

  • An understanding of agriculture, farming background, or ag experience.
  • Experience in servicing agricultural equipment, farming equipment, heavy equipment, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons.
  • Ability to work independently, are a dedicated self-starter and drive position productivity without the need for direct, constant supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate coordination among multiple parties often under specific timeframes and deadlines.
