A little about the business: The Andersons operates four ethanol plants in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Iowa that are collectively capable of producing 330 million gallons of ethanol. They also produce corn oil for industrial, feed, biodiesel, and renewable diesel applications. They are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician/Lead to join their Greenville, Ohio location.
What you would be doing: As the Electrical Maintenance Lead, some of your responsibilities would include conducting preventive maintenance activities, completing new installation and installation repair work as assigned, maintaining preventive maintenance records, reading and translating electrical blueprints, and using electrical hand tools such as conduit benders, voltage meters, and laser alignment equipment.
Qualifications: Associates degree in electrical field preferred, previous experience with DCS and general production experience, and minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
A little about the business: White River Land Corp is a large, progressive, and high tech certified organic and biologically-based row crop farm in SW Indiana. They are looking to bring on board students of agriculture as summer interns and/or agriculture graduates or current farmers as full time employees with an opportunity to be a part of a growing management team.
What you would be doing: Potential job duties and tasks include operating tractors, identifying plants, pests, and weeds to assist in determining best ways to intervene in compliance with National Organic Regulation crop standards, loading agricultural products into hopper bottom trailers, and driving to grain storage facilities.
Qualifications: Experience in operating modern farm equipment, mechanical skills, truck and rail transportation experience, and grain storage, drying, and handling experience.
A little about the business: Knutson Irrigation, based in Yukon, OK (just outside of Oklahoma City), is a Valley Irrigation performance plus dealer providing sales, service, parts and installation of center pivots to our farm customers. They are looking for an Inside Salesperson to be an integral part of the organization.
What you would be doing: As the Inside Salesperson, you would be the go-to resource for their customers on technical knowledge, problem-solving, and service ideas. Some of your responsibilities would include conducting all inside sales activities and providing top notch customer service, maintaining current product knowledge to communicate with farm growers, and partnering with new customers to ensure most efficient, most cost effective solutions.
Qualifications: Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for agriculture, have strong mechanical knowledge, and work well on a team.
A little about the business: Pecan Grove Farms and Nursery is a leading pecan grower with multiple farms across Texas operating 9,000 acres. They pride themselves on their state of the art agribusiness management as they strive and to be an industry leader catering to customers across the globe. They are growing rapidly and building their team of innovative thinkers. They are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager to join their team in Bastrop, Texas.
What you would be doing: As the Assistant Farm Manager, you would be working closely with the farm manager on leading and executing operations. Some of your responsibilities would include coordinating operational tasks, crop management, and harvest, maintaining moisture levels using drip irrigation and micro sprinklers, and reviewing production goals and reports.
Qualifications: Agriculture, horticulture, crop and soil science, or plant pathology related degree or equivalent experience, be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, and mechanical ability.
A little about the business: Central Valley Ag (CVA) is a member-owned farmers cooperative located in central and northeastern Nebraska. They provide agronomy, grain, and feed services to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers and are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in York, NE.
What you would be doing: As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you would be responsible for interacting with internal and external customers, processing full cycle of accounts payable, maintaining organization of accounts payable system, and reviewing invoices and checking requests.
Qualifications: Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships, ability to multitask and establish priorities, good time management skills, strong computer skills, associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience required.
