Willowsford Conservancy is seeking a full-time, year-round Farm Retail Manager to lead our farm-based retail operations and assist with the long-term development of the Farm Stand, CSA and related opportunities.
Willowsford Farm is a 300-acre community-based farm in Ashburn and Aldie, VA, and a part of Willowsford Conservancy. We raise sustainably grown vegetables, small fruit, and pastured pigs and laying hens for a Community Supported Agriculture program and our retail Farm Stand.
The Farm Stand is a major outlet for our farm-grown products. In addition, it is a retail store of organic and locally sourced products, and a place where the farm, community members and customers gather and connect.
The Retail Manager oversees all aspects of retail operations to meet objectives for customer service, sales, margins, operating expenses, product mix, marketing and physical plant maintenance. This includes daily operation of the Farm Stand; purchasing and selling Farm products; procurement from partner vendors; distribution of CSA shares at the Farm Stand; exploring “pop-op” retail opportunities; and managing the retail team. Outreach and marketing through social media, online communications and the Farm website are critical components of the position.
The Retail Manager reports to the Willowsford Conservancy Executive Director and closely collaborates with Farm and Conservancy staff, the HOA team, the Culinary Director, and the Land Development team.

In addition, applicants should be experienced with all aspects of food retail management, vendor interaction, sales, and team management.
