Executive Director – Michigan Potato

You will be in a dual role being the Executive Director for the MPIC and the Manager of the PGMI leading two boards. In this role, you will be fostering, developing, and promoting the potato industry through research, promotion, advertising, market expansion, development of new markets, education, and the development and dissemination of market and industry information. In concert with the elected Commissioners, the Executive Director establishes strategic plans and tactical objectives. You will be working with numerous people and experts in the agriculture industry, government and university, at a state and national level, to develop and implement programs, policies, and services, which support a successful and vibrant potato industry. You will be the spokesperson for the MPIC while channeling available resources toward the achievement of strategic objectives. You will also be leading a team including a Marketing Manager, Marketing Intern, Operations Manager and Administrative Assistant.

Executive Director

The MSPC requires a leader that brings knowledge and a strong foundation in the agricultural industry and organizational management. He or she will oversee the administration, education, research, and marketing capacities of the committee. The individual will implement the strategic plan according to the functions prescribed by law in P.A. 232.
