We are seeking a Dishwasher to join our Restaurant team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career with a Michelin-starred culinary team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
The work schedule is Thursday - Monday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM). This position is based at our JUSTIN Estate: 11680 Chimney Rock, Paso Robles, CA 93446.
Job Description- Operates the industrial dishwasher in a proper and safe manner
- Washes dishes, flatware, pots / pans and cooking utensils by hand when necessary
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Empties and cleans trash receptacles as needed
- Prepares and packages individual place settings
- Aids prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
- Cleans up spills and broken glass
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors at end of shift, keeps kitchen mats clean
- Loads and unloads trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies
- Sets up for events as needed
- Any other duties assigned, including but not limited to food preparation
- Organizes flatware, china and kitchen tools and equipment
Qualifications- Previous dishwashing experience preferred, but not required
- Problem solving--identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Quality management--looks for ways to improve and promote quality
- Judgment--displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, and makes timely decisions
- Planning/organizing--prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
- Safety and security--observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly
Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour. Final compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
