Medical Science Liaison (Alberta & B.C.) The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a primary (but not exclusive) point of contact (PPOC) between Bayer and Thought Leaders (TLs) and acts as the scientific expert between Bayer and the medical community to facilitate education and evidence generation. The MSL shall act as a scientific expert and liaison between Bayer and the medical community through the dissemination and education of scientific data and material (including but limited to clinical research, real world evidence and health economic outcomes research). The MSL establishes long-term scientific and strategic relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs) (key, influential health care professionals/ scientists/ stakeholders who are involved in research activities, academic education, clinical guidelines and/or act as experts for reimbursement bodies) as well as with related major medical associations and academic centres. The MSL facilitates TL involvement in international, national, and regional initiatives, including advisory boards, learning programs, Continuing Medical Education (CME), research and publications. The MSL also serves as an important cross-functional internal partner to Bayer by sharing relevant information/ insights from TLs, developing and delivering product and therapeutic area training, and contributing strategic input to market access and research activities.
