JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Livestock Transportation Unit Manager

Department: Specialized

Location : Greeley, CO

Reports to : Terminal Manager

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Manage the assets of the Greeley Livestock Division.
  • Coordinate the utilization of the JBS Livestock trucks in relation to the daily cattle schedule.
  • Arrange for outside carriers to the haul the balance of cattle not transported by JBS Carriers .
  • Manage the loads to ensure equipment and drivers are fully utilized.
  • Coordinate all load information with the plants, cattle buyers and the feed lots.
  • Monitor activities to ensure 100% compliance with all the safety policies and regulatory agencies.
  • Enter information into the computer and verify accuracy
  • Coordinate with the shop in regards to equipment issues and availability.
  • Keep JBS equipment loaded within legal weight standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Must have working knowledge and understanding of computers. Word, Excel etc.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
  • Needs to understand FMSCA Hours of Service.
  • Must have good time management skills.
  • Must have good working relationships with all JBS Carriers personnel from drivers all the way to senior management. Be a team player, dependable, reliable.
  • Must have experience in the transportation industry.
  • TMW knowledge is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Qualcomm is also beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Drive cam event coaching.


Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Base salary range of $60,000.00 annually ; and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
