Process Engineer - Mexico, MO
This is a full-time, exempt position.

As a Process Engineer, you will leverage your technical engineering expertise and process improvement, project development skills to engage our diverse workforce in advancing our Process Safety Management (PSM) systems to not only meet, but exceed, corporate and local compliance standards and to support our Oilseeds operations and performance excellence initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead focused improvement initiatives in support of plant goals for safety, environmental, cost, yield, quality and reliability.
  • Ensure identification and inclusion of critical health, safety, environmental, quality requirements in the development and modification of equipment and facilities.
  • Analyze existing processes for cost savings, reliability, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in development of colleagues through training, technical support mentoring, and standardization of processes.
  • Project management, purchasing of materials and supplies, equipment installation, budget tracking, start-up of projects, employee training, and reporting.
  • Support plant operations to maintain personnel and process safety.
  • Interact with maintenance, controls, process, and quality personnel in planning and development of process improvements.
  • Communicate and interact with shift supervisors and employees to achieve operational results and support employee development.
  • Participation in Performance Excellence initiatives, Losses to Action, DMAIC projects, and Zero-Failure deployments.
  • Training and mentoring other colleagues, with the potential of indirectly managing 30 to 60 hourly colleagues.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering preferred (may consider equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in plant manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to communicate and drive change management and continuous improvement initiatives across all levels of the organization.
  • Proactively engage with, participate in and mentor others in regard to safety, environmental, quality activities and company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to move around by stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently. May also include periods of prolonged sitting or standing and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • May be required to perform working at heights (on ladders, scaffolding or other structures)
