JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Extension is seeking a Horticulture Extension Educator/Master Gardener Coordinator in Berks County to oversee the general function and activities of the volunteer program. The coordinator works under the supervision of the Area Coordinator and State Master Gardener Coordinator. Specific Duties:
This is a limited term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. Education and Experience: Minimum requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must be familiar with the Master Gardener Program and have experience managing volunteer/outreach programs. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Applicant must have the ability to work well with individuals, committees, and supervisors. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the background checks.
