Farm Equipment Operator - Potential Ownership - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Welcome to Agri-nutrient Applications! We’re immediatly hiring a full-time, year-round Farm Equipment Operator that includes ownership potential. If you have a passion to own your own business, we’re looking for someone that wants to work while developing a plan to take over the business.  We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and specialize in manure applications for farms. We’re a small team that works closely together to get the job done.  We’re passionate about agriculture and pride ourselves on developing close relationships with our customers.

In this role you will be operating newer Case IH tractors hauling double tanks from our customers picking up the manure to hauling and injecting the liquid nutrients on farm fields. You will be assisting with basic preventative maintenance, performing pre-trip inspections on equipment, and assisting in other areas as needed.

We Offer a highly competitive salary based on experience plus the opportunity to develop a plan to take over and own the business.  This is a salary position with an average of 35 hours per week.

This position is for you if you

• Have prior experience operating heavy equipment in production agriculture, farming, construction and/or military. 
• Knowledge and use of auto-steer is helpful but not required.
• Have a desire to take over and own your own business.
• Hold basic mechanical knowledge and are comfortable assisting in light maintenance.
• You have a solid work ethic and are comfortable with early start times; typically, 6am.
• You have a clean driving record; no DWI in the past 3 years.

What you would be doing

• Operate farm equipment including Case IH tractors to pick up manure from swine and dairy operations and apply onto farm fields.
• Pressure wash tanks to maintain clean equipment.
• Perform light maintenance as necessary on equipment.
• Drive a pick-up and/or mini-loader for snow plowing in the winter.
