Job Description Functions include but are not limited to the following. Must be able to move freely between tasks depending on work load, season, etc. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record. Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company's policies and procedures. Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required. Drive company vehicles/power operated equipment (forklifts/pallet jacks) to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures. Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries. Make deliveries on assigned routes within predetermined delivery windows. Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect. Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Provide assistance at warehouse if needed. Assist customers, ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need. o Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders and providing excellent customer service. Report back orders or discrepancies to dispatch or inventory personnel. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At least 1-year commercial driving experience SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS: Must be 21+ years of age Valid Class A with a "clean" driving record Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations. Must pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check) Pay Range: $24.50-$25.50, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
