Job Details Job Location TH Farm - LaGrange, TX Salary Range $14.00 - $16.00 Hourly Description We are looking for a Farm Laborer to work with our farm and nursery operations. The starting rate is $14 an hour, with higher compensation considered based on experience. This position is full-time 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (7am-4pm during summer months). We offer health, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of working full-time (minimum 30 hours a week). The company offers 401k and employee discounts. After a year of continuous full-time employment, we offer 40 hours of paid vacation taken at employees' regular rate of pay. About our Culture... Our eggs, beef, honey and vegetables feed our guests at Tiny Boxwoods and are available at Farmer's Markets when in season. Job Purpose: Thompson + Hanson Farm Laborers perform manual labor associated with plant nursery/farm work such as planting, watering, growing, weeding, transferring plants to containers, and maintaining new crops of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and plants; feeding, caring for, and maintaining chickens and collecting eggs, and general maintenance and caretaking of farm. Duties and Responsibilities: The primary job duties and responsibilities of being a Farm Laborer include but are not limited to the following:

Working Conditions: The incumbent will be working outdoors in extreme heat or cold. Exposure to high places. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Physical Requirements: The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, kneel, push, pull, with occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps. This position is very active and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be able to constantly move around indoors and outdoors. Must be able to bend, stoop and squat. Incumbent must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighting up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
