Position Title: Production General Labor - Plover Potato Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Plover Grade: Scale 01_NONU Requisition ID: 28955 Position Title:Packaging Specialist (Production General Labor) Position Type:Manufacturing / Production Position Location:Hwy 54 in Wisconsin Rapids Position Hours: 6:00pm-6:00am (NIGHT SHIFT) Pay: $20.02/hour, plus$1.25/hour shift differential, up to a 3% quarterly bonus & a $1,500 sign on bonus! McCain Food's facility in Wisconsin Rapids/Plover, Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of french fries and mashed potatoes and produces roughly 2 million pounds of french fries a day! Position Summary : As the Packaging Specialist you will have the opportunity to work on different lines to insert hash brown patties into a carton, sort product or assist operators. You will operate all related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner and contribute to the production of our quality products! You would be working closely with the line operator and be given the opportunity for promotion in to a full time operator role when available! Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspects for and removes product and package defects. 2. Remove foreign material or bad product from line flow. 3. Occasionally required to help rework other product. 4. Perform factory clean-ups. 5. Notify Leadership of quality and production line problems. 6. Pack boxes of finished goods. 7. Upgrades to semi-skilled positions frequently. Qualifications:
Constant:Use and movement of hands and standing on regularly scheduled shift. Substantial visual alertness. Bending, grasping of hands, and reaching throughout shift.
