Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs and improvements on industrial equipment and facilities/building equipment, in an automated food processing facility while keeping a high regard for employee safety, food quality and machine efficiency. Here's what you'll do: Ensures self and coworkers are compliant with all safety rules and regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.) Perform uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, and preventative maintenance on weighers, baggers, conveyors, high speed roll up doors, dock doors, etc... Troubleshoot and perform corrective work on all mechanical, electrical (120v, 220v single and three phase, 480v), pneumatic and hydraulic systems within the facility Identify and execute improvements on equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes Repair/replace light ballasts, light switches, some minor plumbing, painting, and other facility repair Collaborates with different levels of employees in various departments of the facility through face-to-face, telephone, email and radio communications Provide training and development to operators and other maintenance personnel Research system and component specifications using equipment manuals, schematics, parts breakdowns, online information, and vendor communication Dismantle and reassemble complex pieces of machinery in an efficient, precise and reliable manner Operates cutting, welding, and various other fabrication equipment to cut, form, and/or join materials Creates/modifies work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System, and documents details of work performed Research parts, gather quotes, and generates requests Escalate technical, procedural, and personnel related issues to direct lead or supervisor as necessary Work with moral integrity on a consistent basis Performs other assigned duties and projects Other duties as assigned Qualifications Here's what you'll bring to the table: High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Technical degree and three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience Effective English communication is a must, bilingual is preferred Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations is preferred Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present out general business items to groups of coworkers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public Must be able to frequently move items weighing up to 25 pounds as needed To successfully support the business needs, the employee will be expected to work overtime, weekends and rotating/varying shifts, as well as be available for emergency call-out as needed Additional Information Wonderful's dedication to you: Competitive benefits package including Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k Continued training and generous Education Reimbursement Program Paid sick, vacation and holiday time Wonderful Giving ( www.wonderfulgiving.com ) -- allowing you to donate company money to a cause of your choice Why Choose Wonderful?
