Job Description

Wonderful Orchards is currently looking for a Manager, FP&A Operations. The Manager is responsible for managing the budgeting and forecasting for multiple business units, collaborating across operations, production, and overhead departments, and providing KPI and financial analytics support to department heads and business leaders.

This is a key role that includes frequent interaction with operations managers and senior management. This role will be ideal for candidates with experience managing budgeting and forecasting processes, experience supporting production/operations teams, and a strong technical background. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively interact and manage across multiple businesses and closely liaise with accounting, reporting, and production teams. This role will report to the Director, FP&A Operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for our nursery, bee, and lab businesses which includes annual budget creation, multi-year forecasts, and key reporting requirements.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with operations teams and management to review costs and KPIs.
  • Own all aspects of their analyses: determining the requirements, pulling together the data, performing the analysis, and communicating actionable insights.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a Senior Financial Analyst.
  • Become an expert on the company's business model and financial drivers.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis in support of quarterly business performance review meetings as well as ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
  • Prepare succinct and clear executive presentations that simplify complex topics, often with time sensitive deliverables.
  • Develop partnerships with stakeholders throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required. Hyperion, Tableau, and Oracle EBS skills a plus.
  • Ability to present concepts, recommendations, and analyses to management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and adapt within a dynamic, changing business environment.
Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000, and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
