Job Title: Student Research Farm Assistant Department: FAES | Research Operations Administration-JM Responsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aid faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values. Additional Information: Assists research station staff with field operations to establish, maintain and harvest crops research plots. Operations may include planting and harvesting of research crops, weighing and grading produce; weeding, irrigation, and grounds maintenance. Operates agricultural equipment, mowers and grounds equipment; cleans and maintains work areas, and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Drivers license, basic computer skills. Ability to stoop, kneel, lift 40 pounds, and perform physical work for extended periods. Location: Muck Crop ARS - Main (0786) Position Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Scheduled Hours: 28 Shift: First Shift Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
