This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Blanch, NC (Caswell County) a minimum custody male facility and reports to the Correctional Food Service Supervisor. This position is responsible for assisting with the quality of work performed by the offenders in assigned food preparation and food service area and maintaining sanity conditions. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with The selected candidate may be selected to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staff coverage. About the NC Dept. of Adult Correction (DAC): The Dept. of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission, and Rehabilitation & Reentry. Dan River Prison Work Farm is located in Blanch, NC. The facility sits on a 187.5-acre site in the north-central area of Caswell County and houses felon and misdemeanant minimum custody adult male offenders. Work assignments include food service, maintenance, janitorial and other institutional jobs. Other assignments include maintenance work at Caswell Correctional Center and the offender construction program.
