Position Title: Electrical Lead Hand Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Coaldale Requisition ID:27807 Essential Duties / Responsibilities: · Trouble shoots and maintains plant equipment. · Provide project support and coordination. · Work with reliability team to improve equipment availability. · Maintains/trouble shoots PLC, computer software, hardware and variable speed drives, calibrates and maintains steam and water control valves · Passes on information, experiences and knowledge to other maintenance employees in regards to repair jobs, preventive maintenance, problem symptoms, etc. which he/she may be involved with during his/her shift · Maintains safety standards of equipment and work area according to established procedures and as instructed by the manager · Required meeting participation. · Ensures work areas are kept clean, organized and tidy at all times · Lead team with reliability and accountability. · Works in a cost effective manner and maintains a high standard of quality and excellent workmanship · Participate in ongoing training programs as required to maintain and enhance skills · Responsible for trouble free operation of all equipment on site. · All other assigned tasks or functions as designated by Maintenance Manager Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies) · Work Quality - MUST promote and demonstrate safe workmanship. Must take pride in workmanship · Leadership - must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence others in the value of continuous improvement · Critical Thinker - must be able to tactfully challenge the status quo and stimulate change initiatives · Effective Communicator - effective listener; encourage open communication and sharing of ideas amongst team members · Organization - must possess the ability to organize and manage the implementation of multiple work lists · Delivers Results - reliable, consistent and self-motivated · Innovative - must be open to new ideas to develop and maintain systems and procedures. · Computer Aptitude - computer use as well as an understanding of associated software (i.e. SAP, Excel, Power Point) · Flexible - must be flexible with your schedule to support plants events and activities · Mechanically Inclined - Required · PLC Experience would be an asset · Network Experience would be an asset · Excel in troubleshooting · Automation Experience · Must be Certified Journeyman Hourly Rate: · $51.97 McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
