Job Description

Position Overview: This role will engage in a range of responsibilities including general lot maintenance, receiving, and delivering product, grounds maintenance and equipment compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with outbound and inbound Agronomy products.

Operate tender trucks to provide product to custom application equipment.

Ensure safety compliance.

Assist in equipment maintenance.

Assist in housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds including mowing, spraying weeds, and moving snow.

Communicate daily activities, needs and accomplishments to management.

Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.

May assist in measuring inventory of dry fertilizer, NH3, UAN, and other chemicals.

Serve as a backup to Applicators.

Required Qualifications

High School graduate or GED; may be offset by experience.

Class A or B CDL preferred, or ability to obtain Ag CDL with required endorsements.

Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Prior ag experience a plus

Required overtime as the season demands.

Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment preferred.

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Excellent time management, prioritization, and judgment skills

Possess a positive attitude, high energy, and focused attention to detail.

Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong customer service and team player attitude.

Territory and agriculture knowledge is a plus.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee needs to stay in good physical condition to regularly lift more than 50 pounds, climb in and out of vehicles, ladders, perform preventive maintenance activities, and perform other physical duties necessary in running an agricultural location. Employee will regularly be required to walk, stand, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, feel and grasp.
