Maintenance 1st Class-Cheney, WA
This a full-time, Union hourly position with high opportunities for overtime
Starting hourly rate depending on experience 19.59 - 27.61

Position Summary:
Engage in facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Ensure smooth production operation during shift.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in all installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment within the facilities in conjunction with facility management
  • Carry out inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues in alignment with Preventive Maintenance Plans.
  • Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
  • Demonstrate basic welding layout and fabrication skills.
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic, and vibration monitoring knowledge a plus.
  • The facility operates around the clock so the Maintenance colleague will be on call, and may be called into work for after hour emergencies.
  • Assist in updating, developing and implementing maintenance programs/procedures
  • Collaborate required reports and maintaining all necessary records and documentation related to predictive/preventative maintenance, planning and scheduling for the facilities
  • Ensure Health and Safety polices are complied with
  • Maintain food safety standards in accordance with Quality Assurance program.
  • Assist in completing operational tasks at the facilities when required
Job Requirements:
  • Role requires 0-3 years of experience as maintenance technician in an agricultural or industrial processing environment
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of industrial agricultural processing equipment, fabrication / welding, and electrical systems.
  • Must demonstrate high level problem solving and team working skills
  • Strong self-motivation, organizational, and inter-personal skills
  • Inter-personal skills include handling conflict, motivation, instructing and training personnel in a respectable and fair manner.
  • The physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, wearing a respirator.
