North America Engineering Rotational Assoc

PROGRAM STRUCTURE & EXPECTATIONS
  • The North America Engineering Rotational Program offers graduates with a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred) the opportunity to learn, network, and grow within our North America Engineering organizations across the divisions.
  • The following are potential assignation location opportunities: Creve Coeur (MO), Chesterfield (MO), Kansas City (MO), Luling (LA), Muscatine (IA), Soda Springs (ID), Berkeley (CA), and Oxnard (CA).
  • Within 24 months, you will complete three 8-month assignments at different locations in North America, while contributing to several business relevant projects within the various organizations.
  • Based on your academic focus, degree, skills, and personal career aspirations, the North American Engineering Rotational Program offers various focus areas that include but aren’t limited to Process Engineering, Global Engineering, Active Ingredient Manufacturing, Reliability Integrity Management, Seed Production Innovation, Technical Discovery, Manufacturing Excellence .
  • As a career development program, you will receive hands-on training, mentoring, and coaching from key stakeholders and leaders throughout the organization .


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, North America Engineering Rotational Associate, will be focused on process, project, and plant engineering within the three rotations. Specific tasks and responsibilities are related to the specific assignments during the program. Throughout these rotations, an emphasis will be on:
  • Gaining experience across the organization to understand the business and collaborate with area technicians and leadership to provide high levels of customer satisfaction;
  • Influencing and managing initiatives of complex nature involving a considerable amount of self-motivation, analytical ability, and independent judgment;
  • Evaluating, identifying, developing, and executing continuous improvement initiatives with support from subject matter experts within the relevant field;
  • Interfacing with technical professionals from other disciplines (e.g., PCT, project engineering, environmental and utility services operations, process development, etc.);
  • Driving ownership of project-related tasks to actively contribute to ongoing assigned projects;
  • Engaging in continued development of self and area personnel with peer coaching and constructive feedback.


QUALIFICATIONS

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE (Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility, Efficiency) values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks a candidate who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Engineering completed by May 2024;
  • Express ideas and information, orally and/or in writing, in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to diverse audiences;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrate inclusive culture;
  • Correctly analyze problems and think independently;
  • High level of maturity and strong willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly;
  • Willingness and desire for mobility as assignments are at different locations across North America;
  • Valid Driver's license and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle may be required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters of Science (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred);
  • Possess internship or co-op work experience in related industry;
  • Demonstrated leadership (i.e. - current leaders of clubs, campus organizations, etc.);
  • Working knowledge of Engineering tools and software and ability to read and understand process flow diagrams, line drawings, P&ID, and schematics;
  • GPA of 3.0 or above at time of graduation.


Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $65,000 to $93,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
