Farm Mechanic for Peterson Farms

A little about the business: Peterson Farms is located in Central Kentucky! We’re a diversified, family-owned and operated farm growing corn, soybeans, hemp and red winter wheat. We manage over 18,000 acres in nine counties with a majority of our production used in the bourbon whisky industry. What you would be doing: We’re hiring for a full-time, year-round Mechanic (Technician) at our Loretto, KY location.  You will be working on a variety of farm equipment, implements, trucks, semi-trucks/trailers, tractors, combines and more. You will be conducting preventative maintenance while also trouble shooting repairs both in the shop and in the field. Although, your primary role will be maintenance you will be assisting in other areas of the farm. You will enjoy seeing the impact of your hard work, saving the day when you fix equipment the harvest crew needs to get the work done, being meticulous in your PM schedule to prevent break-downs and much more.

Qualifications: Have 2-5 years of mechanical experience in either heavy equipment, ag equipment, diesel, military, construction or relatable work. Preferred – have knowledge of hydraulics, electrical repair and basic welding. Are a stickler for the details and prefer a proactive approach to maintenance? Are comfortable with the longer hours involved in farming especially during peak seasons?

Livestock & Pasture Maintenance Assistant for Apricot Lane Farms

A little about the business: Apricot Lane Farms is located 40 miles north of Los Angeles and 20 miles east of Ventura in Moorpark, CA. Our team has been charged with the mission of creating a well-balanced ecosystem and rich soils that produce nutrient-dense foods while treating the environment and the animals with respect. Our farm residents include pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, guinea hens, horses, highland cattle, and one brown swiss dairy cow named “Maggie.” Our land consists of Biodynamic Certified avocado and lemon orchards, a vegetable garden, pastures, and over 75 varieties of stone fruit.

What you would be doing: This program utilizes biodynamic and rotational practices. Equally as important to caring for the livestock is caring for the land and soil on which they are raised.  The Livestock/Pasture Maintenance Assistant oversees all aspects of the daily care, feeding, and life support system maintenance of our diverse collection of animals and pastures.

Qualifications: Ability to maintain clear communication with others. Detail oriented and organized. Sincere passion for livestock/animals and the land/animals/ecosystem.

Part-Time C-Store Clerk for Central Valley AG

A little about the business: Central Valley Ag (CVA) is a member-owned farmers cooperative located in central and northeastern Nebraska. Established in 2003, CVA has 365 employees across our trade area that provide agronomy, grain, and feed services to over 10,000 farmers and ranchers.

What you would be doing: As a C-Store Clerk at Central Valley Ag, you will be perform all aspects of sales including but not limited to, greeting and welcoming customers, suggestive selling and receiving payments in the form of cash, checks and credit cards from customers in exchange for goods and services. You will also prepare and cook food, and clean and sanitize kitchen and cooking utensils.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Excellent customer service skill required. Must possess commitment to excellence and high standards. Ability to maintain friendly demeanor when working under pressure required. Must be able to manage priorities and workflow.

Agronomy Territory Sales Manager for OMEX
