What you would be doing: Responsibilities to include chemical and fertilizer application, plant food mixing, transportation and crop management. Strong preference for someone with computer and GPS systems knowledge, however, will train the right candidate. The ideal applicant will also drive truck and help out in operations when needed. We will help train the right candidate to obtain their CDL and Applicator’s License.
Qualifications: This qualified individual must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, possess excellent team work and people skills, and looking for a rewarding position with a growing company. Must have a good driving record and either have their CDL, or are in the process of obtaining a CDL license.

What you would be doing: As a Farm and Diesel Mechanic you will be troubleshooting and repairing a fleet of 100+ including tractors, heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, farm implements, harvesters, irrigation pivots and pick-ups. You will enjoy a wide variety of maintenance projects. We have a top-notch shop to work in with the right equipment including a service truck with crane and equipment to do engine overhauls when necessary.
Qualifications: This is the position for you if you have a solid background in either agriculture equipment maintenance, diesel repair and or strongly relatable experience in construction or military, you pride yourself on being a self-starter and being able to prioritize projects. you can handle larger projects and are forward-thinking on what parts and equipment will be needed ahead of time, you preferably have light fabrication/welding experience, low & high voltage electrical knowledge, and strong diesel and hydraulic experience.

What you would be doing: The CFO position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, including development of financial and operational strategies and metrics, enhancement and monitoring of control systems, and reporting of accurate financial results. This position has operational responsibility for the accounting, finance, and information technology of the company and will provide executive leadership to achieve the company’s strategic goals and vision. Qualifications: Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or Master’s Degree in Accounting. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or mid-sized corporation. Experience managing financials, accounting in an agricultural business environment, and developing large teams. Ability to comprehend, read, write and communicate proficiently in English and interact with all levels of the organization.
A little about the business: The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is the second-largest US sugarbeet processor, growing sugarbeets on approximately 180,000 acres in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. We manufacture industrial and retail sugar products marketed under the brand White Satin. We also produce and sell beet pulp, molasses, and other nutritious feed products for use by food and animal-feed manufacturers.
What you would be doing: We are seeking a Soil Scientist/Soil Agronomist to be a part of the Sugar Beet Quality Improvement Department (SBQI) team located in the Paul ID/Burley ID area. This position will lead research efforts to improve the understanding of fertility and fertility recommendations in sugarbeets including designing and conducting fertility research to improve and further refine best management practice recommendations for Grower Members. The position also includes participation in other SBQI trials and projects. The candidate will develop and maintain a working knowledge of the latest agronomic practices related to all aspects of growing, harvesting and storing sugarbeets. The candidate must have experience in statistics and replicated small plot research. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, and have strong customer service skills. The candidate will need to work collaboratively with the university, USDA-ARS and other researchers/staff to achieve the highest impact and quality sugarbeet research.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Soil Science, Agronomy or related field with an emphasis in soil related subjects (fertility, etc.). Minimum five (5) years of work related experience. Must have demonstrated the ability to work with growers. Must be able to write, speak and understand English. Ability to work within and enjoy a team-based environment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle and equipment. Must possess or obtain and maintain all applicable State Consultant/Applicator License(s). Must be willingly and able to obtain and maintain a CDL. Certified Crop Advisor certification desirable. Specialization in Sustainable Agriculture desirable.
